About the club

Hammerfest Alpine Club originally started as a group within Hammerfest Ski Club but eventually became independent, and Hammerfest Alpine Club was founded in 1989. The club operated in connection with Reindalen Alpine Center. When this facility went bankrupt, the alpine club took over its operation.

The ski slope is now run entirely on a volunteer basis. The slope is open four days a week during the season, weather permitting. In addition, it is possible to rent the slope for private events. The club has also re-established a competitive alpine group, with 50+ enthusiastic children and adults training twice a week. We participate in competitions throughout Northern Norway and organize races in Hammerfest.

Hammerfest Alpine Club contributes to the local community by promoting outdoor activities, both organized and for those who enjoy freeriding. The club collaborates with many local companies and works to get more children and adults on the slopes.

Ski fun for everyone!

Volunteering

The lift doesn’t run itself, and the waffles don’t cook themselves! Hammerfest Alpine Club is 100% volunteer-run.

If you’d like to help out, please get in touch via the Hammerfest Alpinklubb facebook page.

Collaboration partners

Hammerfest is proud to collaborate with many local companies, both large and small, from 2024–2026. We are always looking for new partners, so if you have questions about collaborating with us, please get in touch!
